Andrea’s commitment to living whole-heartedly began at an early age as a competitive figure skater. While at Laurentian University, she combined her love of athletics, psychology, and science to complete a Bachelors of Arts in Sport Psychology concurrently with a Bachelors of Education in Physical Education. Continuing her passion for research, she recently (2019) successfully defended her Masters of Human Kinetics. Her thesis work dealt with the impact of concussions in elite-level female athletes, in particular, the consequences of injury and recovery on high level performance. From her post-graduate experience, as well as her natural observation skills attained during her teaching and sports psychology training, Andrea brings multiple research, data collection, and analysis abilities to her career.
Andrea has been a part of the Medicor Team since August 2020. Beginning as an Administrative Research Assistant, Andrea had the opportunity to gain insight into the methodology of clinical research and trials. In that position, she worked with, and assisted the clinical team, and management staff on several projects. Andrea recently moved into the role of Clinical Research Coordinator, and looks forward to continuing to learn and grow with Medicor. In her off-time, Andrea is a figure skating coach, affiliated with various clubs in the Sudbury area. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and being active outdoors.
